ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND
The bank said it hired Rory Tapner to head its wealth management arm. Tapner joins from Swiss bank UBS , where he was chairman and chief executive of the Asia-Pacific business.
LLOYDS TSB CORPORATE MARKETS
The financial services provider said it appointed Etienne Lacault as a director in its leveraged loan syndicate team. He joins from Lincoln International in Paris.
AXA INVESTMENT MANAGERS
AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM), a unit of AXA group, said it appointed Tim Gardener as global head of consultant relations. Based in London, Gardener will commence his role with AXA IM in autumn 2010 and will be a member of AXA IM's executive committee. He joins from Mercer.
MERRILL LYNCH WEALTH MANAGEMENT
The unit of Bank of America Corp said it appointed Tamer Rashad as head of Middle East Wealth Management and Amir Sadr as head of institutional client group and family office group. Having previously worked in the office of the president and COO at Merrill Lynch, Rashad will be based in Dubai. Sadr, who will be based in London, was head of Middle East Offshore, Institutional Client Group (ICG) and the Family Office Group at Merrill Lynch.
JEFFERIES
The investment bank said Kamlesh Bhatia joined as a managing director responsible for private placement origination within the firm's equity capital markets group. Bhatia joins Jefferies from Piper Jaffray.
KPMG
KPMG, one of the 'Big Four' accounting firms, appointed Jon Greenlee as a managing director of the firm's financial services regulatory practice. Greenlee was formerly with the board of governors of the Federal Reserve System's division of banking supervision and regulation. He will be based in KPMG's Tysons Corner, Va., office.
NIXON PEABODY
The law firm appointed Anthony Selvaggio as counsel in the firm's private clients group. Selvaggio returns to the Rochester office where he worked at Nixon Peabody's predecessor firm, Nixon, Hargrave, Devans & Doyle LLP.
