Naspers up, Russian unit plans IPO
Shares of South Africa's Naspers rise 1.2 percent to 335.50 rand after the media firm's Russian unit, Mail.Ru Group, says it plans an initial public offering on the London Stock Exchange this year.
Shareholders are aiming to raise more than $500 million by listing around 15 percent of the Russian internet firm, which is also an investor in Facebook, a source tells Reuters.
Naspers, which has focused on e-commerce and emerging markets as revenue from traditional media declines, directly owns nearly 29 percent of Mail.Ru Group.
Chinese firm Tencent Holdings, of which Naspers owns more than 30 percent, holds 10.3 percent of Mail.Ru.

FirstRand falls 2.2 percent to 20.52 rand, becoming the biggest percentage loser on the Top-40 index as shares of the bank trade ex-dividend, or without the right to the latest dividend.
Other shares trading ex-dividend on Monday are Sasol , which is down 1.5 percent at 315.39 rand, and insurer Discovery, down 1.3 percent at 38.81 rand.
