* Says to supply modules beginning in 2011
* Does not disclose name of customer
* Says deal extension of prior contract
Oct 12 (Reuters) - Chinese solar company JinkoSolar Holding Co Ltd said it signed an agreement to supply 130 megawatts (MW) of photovoltaic modules as an extension of a current contract with an unnamed customer.
JinkoSolar, which went public earlier this year, said it will supply the modules beginning in 2011, continuing throughout the year.
The company aims to more than double production capacity this year. At the end of March, it had solar cell and module production capacities of 200 MW.
JinkoSolar, which started operations in 2006, is one of a handful of vertically integrated, China-based solar companies including Trina Solar, LDK Solar, Yingli Green Energy and Suntech Power working to ramp up their production.
Tuesday's news comes after two other Chinese companies LDK Solar Co Ltd and Canadian Solar Inc signaled strong demand for solar products, while Clear Skies Solar backed its revenue outlook
JinkoSolar went public in May, having raised $64.2 million by selling 5.84 million American depositary shares for $11 each, the low end of its planned price range.
It had a lukewarm debut on the New York Stock Exchange, falling 25 percent to a low of $8.23 in less than ten trading sessions. The stock has since bounced back strongly, having closed at $30.63 Monday.
