COPENHAGEN, Nov 10 (Reuters) - Danish wind turbine maker Vestas said on Wednesday it had won an order in India for turbines with total capacity of 56 megawatts (MW).
The order for 34 units of the V82-1.65 MW turbine comes from Acciona Energy India, a subsidiary of Spain's Acciona, Vestas Wind Systems A/S said in a statement.
Delivery to the Tuppadahalli Wind Farm project in the state of Karnataka will start in the fourth quarter and the project will be completed in the first quarter of 2011.
Vestas did not give the value of the order, though it has said prices are in general roughly 1 million euros ($1.38 million) per MW.
($1=.7256 Euro)
