WASHINGTON, Dec 16 (Reuters) - The deal President Barack Obama made with Republicans to extend expiring tax cuts and boost the economy won final U.S. congressional approval on Thursday.
The House passed the bill, 277-148, a day after it sailed through the Senate, 81-19. The measure now goes to Obama to sign into law.
