FRANKFURT, March 10 (Reuters) - Tognum's management would drop its resistance to a bid by Daimler and Rolls-Royce if the two raised their offer by 13 percent, two people close to Tognum said.
'Everyone would be satisfied with 27 euros ($37.46) per share,' one of the people told Reuters on Thursday.
German carmaker Daimler and British engine maker Rolls-Royce have offered 24 euros per share in cash to buy Tognum in a 3.2 billion euros deal.
'It would have to be at least 10 percent more,' the other source said.
Tognum has so far said no agreement has been reached on an offer price. Its Chief Executive Volker Heuer said on Thursday the company would make further comments once it has received a written offer.
