JAKARTA, March 18 (Reuters) - BP Indonesia Exploration and Total were both awarded coal bed methane (CBM) blocks in Kalimantan, the Indonesian energy ministry said on Friday.
BP was awarded three blocks in Central Kalimantan, while French energy major Total won one block in East Kalimantan, the ministry said.
Indonesia plans to offer 50 oil and gas blocks, as well as 10 coal bed methane blocks in 2011 to investors as the country seeks to boost investment in the sector, the energy ministry said late last year.
