BRUSSELS (dpa-AFX) - After moving broadly sideways in the late Asian session, the euro drifted lower against the currencies of the U.S. and the U.K. in early European trading on Monday.
The common currency is presently quoted at 1.4330 against the greenback and 0.8830 versus the pound and is thus approaching its early Asian session's 11-day lows of 1.4323 and 0.8824, respectively.
The single currency reversed its late Asian session's uptrend against the Swiss franc and the yen around 3:10 am ET. The euro is presently trading at 1.2074 against the franc and 115.11 against the yen, down from previous highs of 1.2140 and 115.67, respectively.
