LONDON (dpa-AFX) - Electrocomponents Plc. (ECM.L) announced that its Chairman, Peter Johnson, will stand down from his responsibilities as Chairman for a temporary period in order to devote himself to caring for his wife, who is ill. Johnson will remain on the board of Electrocomponents, and expects to return to his full duties as Chairman in due course.
Rupert Soames, who currently serves as the senior independent director, has agreed to act as Chairman during Peter Johnson's absence and Adrian Auer will act as the senior independent director and Chairman of the Remuneration Committee.
