WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Infinera Corp. (INFN) Tuesday reported third-quarter net loss of $21.8 million or $0.21 per share, compared to net income of $4.4 million or $0.04 per share in the third quarter last year.
On average, 11 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected loss of $0.11 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude one-time items.
Revenues for the third quarter were $104.0 million compared to $130.1 million in the third quarter last year. Analysts estimated revenues of $99.9 million for the quarter.
Gross margin for the third quarter dropped to 39 percent from 50 percent last year.
