WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Kaiser Aluminum Corp. (KALU) Monday reported third-quarter net income of $4.4 million or $0.23 per share, compared to $5.5 million or $0.29 per share in the prior-year period.
Excluding one-time items, adjusted net income for the quarter was $11.9 million or $0.63 per share, compared to $8.3 million or $0.44 per share last year.
On average, four analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings of $0.62 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude one-time items.
Net sales for the quarter increased to $322.3 million from $263.4 million last year. Analysts estimated revenues of $328.53 million for the quarter.
