LONDON (dpa-AFX) - London Stock Exchange Group plc (LSE.L) reported Friday a drop in combined value of December trades to 128.1 billion pounds from 143.8 billion pounds a year ago. A total of 24.4 million trades were recorded for December 2011.
The company further noted that average daily number of trades went up 25 percent in the UK, while average daily value traded dipped 5 percent. Also, average daily number of trades in Italy fell 13.4 percent, but value slumped 33 percent. Turquoise cash equities saw average daily number of trades more than double, with value also surging 66 percent.
