LONDON (dpa-AFX) - International Infrastructure group Balfour Beatty Plc (BBY.L) Friday announced that its 520/50 joiny venture partner with Alstom, Signaling Solutions Limited, or SSL, has been successful in the tendering process for the new signalling frameworks on behalf of Network Rail.
The company noted that SSL has secured involvement in seven of the eight geographical regions covered by Network Rail's seven year 'New Signalling Frameworks', worth a total £1.5bn.
The company will introduce innovative train control systems and new collaborative methods of working to ensure that the cost reduction measures required to achieve the industry targets agreed by Network Rail with the Office of Rail Regulation are met.
