BRUSSELS (dpa-AFX) - Kuehne & Nagel International AG (KNIA.DE, KHNGY.PK) Thursday reported agreeing to acquire Australia-based, privately-owned Link Logistics International Pty. Ltd. in a bid to expand its perishables logistics portfolio. The transaction's financial details were not specified. The acquisition, according to Kuehne & Nagel's Executive Vice President for Air Logistics Tim Scharwath, 'will help accelerate our growth in this business segment and besides Europe we can also even better serve our customers in the Asian and Middle East perishable segments. In addition, jointly we can strengthen our position in the Australian airfreight market.'
