LUTON (dpa-AFX) - Low-cost airline easyJet Plc (EZJ.L) reported that its January 2012 load factor, a capacity utilization measure, grew 3.0 percentage points to 81.9% from 78.9% a year earlier. Total passengers, representing the number of earned seats flown, for the month were 3.73 million, down 0.4% from 3.74 million in the previous year. The company noted that earned seats include seats that are flown whether or not the passenger turns up because easyJet is a no-refund airline. On a rolling 12 months basis, load factor improved 0.6 percentage points to 87.7% from last year's 87.1%.
