WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - TriQuint Semiconductor Inc. (TQNT) reported that net income for the fourth quarter of 2011 was $4.31 million, or $0.03 per share, down from $42.49 million or $0.25 per share in the year ago quarter. Non-GAAP Net income for the fourth quarter of 2011 was $13.3 million, or $0.08 per share.
Revenue for the fourth quarter of 2011 was $227.0 million, down 10% from the fourth quarter of 2010.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.07 per share on revenues of $219.07 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
The expects first quarter 2012 revenue will be between $210 million and $220 million. First quarter 2012 non-GAAP net income is expected to be between $0.01 and $0.03 per share. Analysts expect the company to report earnings of $0.03 per share on revenues of $203.24 million for the first-quarter.
