WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Fidelity National Financial Inc. (FNF) reported that its fourth-quarter net income to shareholders increased to $172.7 million from $130.8 million last year. Earnings per share was $0.78 comapred to $0.58 prior year.
Total revenue decreased to $1.27 billion from $1.53 billion a year ago.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit of $0.72 per share on revenue of $1.36 billion for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
