PARIS (dpa-AFX) - Air France, a subsidiary of the Air France-KLM Group (AFRAF.PK), said it operated 75 percent of flights over the four-day strike.
The company was able to operate 77 percent of its long-haul flight schedule and 75 percent of its short and medium-haul schedule as of 5 P.M. Thursday. These were better than expected, amid a strike between February 6 and 9 affecting the whole French air transport industry, the French flag carrier said.
The number of last-minute cancellations was limited, concerning less than 5 percent of medium-haul flights and two long-haul flights, it noted.
Air France plans to resume a normal flight schedule on February 10. However, this will require some aircraft preparations due to cold conditions in and around Paris, which may cause some delays.
The stock closed in Paris on Thursday higher by 0.39 pecrent at 5.08 euros on a volume of 3.43 million shares.
