WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - JetBlue Airways Corp. (JBLU) reported that traffic in January 2012 increased 13.3 percent from January 2011, on a capacity increase of 12.3 percent.
The airline said its January traffic rose 13.3% to 2.51 billion revenue passenger miles or RPMs from 2.21 billion RPMs in the same period last year.
The airline's January capacity was 3.11 billion available seat miles or ASMs, up 12.3% from 2.77 billion ASMs in the prior year period.
Load factor for January 2012 was 80.7%, up 0.7 points from 80.0% reported in January 2011.
