NEW YORK CITY (dpa-AFX) - British police have arrested five more top employees of The Sun daily, run by Rupert Murdoch's News Corp. (NWS, NWSA), in a widening probe into journalists bribing police to get information , reports said Saturday. Police had arrested four other employees and one former employee of the paper last month.
Having a circulation of about 2.7 million, The Sun is the most widely-read newspaper in the U.K. and is the largest-selling among News Corp.'s offerings.
Murdoch is expected to reach London next week to reassure the staff of the paper, who are now apprehensive about the future of the newspaper.
A phone hacking scandal last year had led to the closure of the group's News of the World Sunday title.
