WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Rovi Corp. (ROVI) reported fourth-quarter GAAP net loss of $49.3 million or $0.46 per share, compared to net income of $67.2 million or $0.59 per share in the previous year period.
Adjusted pro forma income for the quarter was $65.2 million or $0.60 per share, compared to $55.7 million or $0.48 per share in the comparable quarter last year.
On average, sixteen analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings of $0.60 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates normally exclude special items.
Quarterly revenues rose to $177.20 million from $140.18 million in the corresponding quarter last year.
On an adjusted pro forma basis, revenue for the quarter was $177.20 million, compared to $166.63 million in the prior-year quarter, while fifteen analysts had a consensus revenue estimate of $193.72 million for the quarter.
