WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Plains Exploration & Production Co. (PXP) reported fourth-quarter net income attributable to common stockholders of $97.7 million, or $0.69 per share versus a net loss of $19.5 million, or $0.14 per share last year.
On a non-GAAP basis, adjusted net income attributable to common stockholders amounted to $28.6 million, or $0.20 per share for the latest quarter. On average, 18 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings per share of $0.34 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude one-time items.
Quarterly revenues were $517.5 million, lower than $408.1 million in the 2010 period. Analysts estimated revenues of $495.57 million for the quarter.
