WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Targa Resources Partners LP (NGLS) Thursday announced a surge in fourth-quarter profit to $75.5 million, or $0.75 per unit, from last year's $35.9 million, or $0.39 per unit. Thirteen analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.51 per unit. Analysts' estimates usually exclude special items.
Revenues for the period jumped to $1.93 billion from $1.52 billion in 2010. Natural gas sales went up to 876.4 BBtu/d from 704.9 BBtu/d in the prior year. Seven analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated revenues of $2.21 billion.
