WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Telephone and Data Systems Inc. (TDS) posted fourth-quarter 2011 net loss attributable to TDS of $6.2 million, or $0.06 per share versus an income of $13.1 million, or $0.12 per share last year.
The recent quarter was impacted by a $7.2 million expense relating to the share consolidation that was not deductible for tax purposes, as well as a $6 million adjustment that increased tax expense related to prior periods, the company added.
Operating revenues were $1.32 billion for the 2011 fourth quarter, versus $1.26 billion in the comparable period one year ago.
