EDEN PRAIRIE (dpa-AFX) - CH Robinson Worldwide Inc. (CHRW) reported that its first-quarter net income increased to $106.50 million or $0.65 per share, up from $97.03 million or $0.59 per share in the same quarter last year. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.65 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Total revenues for the quarter rose to $2.55 billion from $2.37 billion in the prior year quarter. Seventeen analysts had consensus revenue estimate of $2.60 billion for the quarter.
