WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Informatica Corp. (INFA) Thursday reported an increase in profit for the first quarter, driven mainly by double-digit growth in revenues.
The Redwood City, California-based company reported first-quarter net profit of $26.53 million or $0.24 per share, compared to $21.91 million or $0.20 per share last year.
Adjusted net income for the quarter rose to $39.53 million or $0.35 per share from $30.93 million or $0.28 per share in the prior-year quarter. On average, 22 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.33 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Total revenues for the quarter grew 17 percent to $196.02 million from $168.03 million in the prior-year quarter. Twenty one analysts had a consensus revenue estimate of $194.01 million for the quarter.
