WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Acme Packet Inc. (APKT) reported first-quarter net income of $2.4 million or $0.03 per share, compared to $13.7 million or $0.19 per share in the previous year quarter.
Adjusted income for the quarter was $12.2 million or $0.17 per share, down from $18.9 million or $0.27 per share in the comparable quarter last year. On average, 19 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit of $0.16 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Total revenue rose to $70.83 million from $73.97 million last year, while nineteen analysts expected the company to report revenue of $69.31 million for the quarter.
