ISLANDIA (dpa-AFX) - CA Technologies (CA) said Wednesday that it has reached a settlement agreement with ISI, formerly known as Independent Systems Integrators, of Sydney, Australia, resolving all outstanding claims against ISI for copyright infringement and trade secret misappropriation by ISI in its 2BDB2 software.
On March 21, 2012, following a six-week trial in 2011, the Federal Court of Australia issued its decision in favor of CA Technologies, finding that ISI violated copyright laws and breached its duty of confidentiality in developing and selling a product using intellectual property from CA Technologies CA Datacom relational database management system.
The Federal Court of Australia issued final orders enforcing its findings regarding copyright infringement and trade secret misappropriation.
The terms of the settlement agreement finalizing CA Technologies claims for compensation were not disclosed.
