OTTAWA (dpa-AFX) - Penn West Petroleum Ltd. (PWT.TO, PWE) said its net income for the first quarter fell to C$59 million or C$0.12 per share from C$291 million or C$0.63 per share in the same quarter a year ago.
Gross revenues for the three-month period climbed to C$870 million from C$844 million in the previous year.
Further, the company said on May 3, 2012, its board of directors declared a second quarter 2012 dividend of C$0.27 per share to be paid on July 13, 2012 to shareholders of record on June 29, 2012.
