OTTAWA (dpa-AFX) - Enerplus Corp. (ERF, ERF.TO) posted first quarter net loss of C$33.82 million or C$0.18 per share versus profit of C$29.55 million or C$0.17 per share last year.
Funds Flow per share was C$0.86, down from C$0.90 in the prior-year quarter.
Production increased during the first quarter by 3% over the fourth quarter of 2011, averaging 79,190 BOE/day.
The company's production continues to grow and it remains on track to meet its operating guidance for the year. Overall, Enerplus expects production to grow by 10% in 2012, averaging 83,000 BOE/day and to exit 2012 producing approximately 88,000 BOE/day.
