WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Quality Systems, Inc. (QSII) posted fourth-quarter profit of $15.07 million or $0.25 per share, lower than $18.55 million or $0.32 per share last year.
On average, 22 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.30 per share. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Total revenues grew to $108.99 million from $97.11 million in the prior-year quarter. Analysts expected revenues of $110.56 million.
'...Our performance for the fiscal 2012 fourth quarter was impacted by delays in the closing of several fourth quarter opportunities as well as recognition of revenue related to a large customer implementation program,' said Steven Plochocki, chief executive officer. 'Looking ahead, we remain confident about the growth opportunities, as evidenced by our recent guidance for the 2013 fiscal year. We have stated that we expect revenues to increase 20 - 24 percent and earnings per share to grow 20 - 25 percent.'
