NEW YORK CITY (dpa-AFX) - Billionaire George Soros' Soros Fund Management LLC disclosed in a regulatory filing on Friday that it has sold most of its stake in Alibaba Group Holding Limited (BABA) during the June quarter. According to the filing, Soros Fund has reduced its stake in Alibaba valued at $4.88 million, compared to its holding of $369.97 million worth at the end of March quarter.
Meanwhile, Soros Fund has increased its holding in Facebook, Inc. (FB) to $222.25 million and Monsanto Co. (MON) to $123.9 million.
During the quarter, the Fund has bought $259.17 million of stake in Time Warner Cable Inc. (TWC). The Fund has also reported $59.52 million worth of holding in Alcoa Inc. (AA) and $3.88 million worth of stake in Boeing Co. (BA).
SOROS FUND has also lowered its stake in Ciena Corp. (CIEN), Motorola Solutions, Inc. (MSI), Noble Energy, Inc. (NBL) and Zoetis Inc. (ZTS).
Soros Fund has completely sold off its stake in Cenovus Energy Inc. (CVE) and Suncor Energy Inc. (SU) during the quarter.
