REDMOND (dpa-AFX) - Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) said it has shipped more than 5 million Xbox One consoles to retailers since the console's launch, with fans spending an average of five hours a day on Xbox One.
According to NPD Group figures, 'Titanfall' for Xbox One was named the top-selling game in March, Yusuf Mehdi, Xbox corporate vice president of marketing, strategy and business revealed in a blog post Thursday.
It was on November 22, 2013, that Microsoft launched Xbox One, and was available in 13 markets worldwide, including the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, the U.K., France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Ireland and Austria.
The new-generation games and entertainment system from the company brings the best games, live TV, Skype, sports, fitness, music and more to one single device at the center of the living room.
At that time, the company had said, 'Expect more huge launches as well, with the release of next-generation experiences, such as 'Titanfall,' 'Project Spark' and 'Sunset Overdrive' in 2014.'
MSFT closed Thursday's regular trading at $40.01, down 0.97 percent. In after-hours trading, the shares rose 0.07 percent.
