BRUSSELS (dpa-AFX) - Swiss stocks underperformed other European markets on Thursday, as big banks and pharmaceuticals struggled.
Novartis and Roche lost more than 1 percent each, and UBS was fractionally lower.
The Swiss Market Index dropped 0.4 percent to 8.409.13.
Life science and specialty chemicals group Lonza confirmed its outlook for the full year. The stock was up 3.4 percent.
