CANBERA (dpa-AFX) - Singapore will on Monday release July numbers for retail sales and Q2 figures for unemployment, highlighting a light day for Asia-Pacific economic activity.
Retail sales in June were down 1.1 percent on month and up 0.4 percent on year, while the jobless rate in Q1 was 2.0 percent.
Australia will provide August data for new motor vehicle sales; in July, sales were down 1.3 percent on month and 0.4 percent on year.
New Zealand will see August results for its performance of services index; in July, the index had a score of 58.4.
Finally, the markets in Japan are closed on Monday in observance of Respect for the Aged Day, and will re-open on Tuesday.
