REDWOOD SHORES (dpa-AFX) - Oracle Corp (ORCL) paid Larry Ellison more than $67 million as CEO compensation for the fiscal year 2014. Last week, Ellison stepped down as Oracle CEO and was appointed as its executive chairman and chief technology officer.
Most of Ellison's compensation was comprised of stock options. While his salary for fiscal year 2014 remained $1, Oracle gave him options to buy 7 million shares, which Oracle valued at $65 million as of the day they were issued in July 2013. Oracle also paid Ellison a bonus of about $741,000 plus more than $1.5 million in other compensation.
