BEIJING (dpa-AFX) - Chinese online games provider Shanda Games Ltd. (GAME) said its Chief Executive Officer, Xiangdong Zhang, has stepped down from the post and has been removed from the board and the Compensation Committee and the Corporate Development and Finance Committee, effective immediately.
Yingfeng Zhang has been named the acting CEO and the board would commence a global search for a permanent successor. Also, Yingfeng Zhang has been appointed as a member of the Board, the Compensation Committee and the Corporate Development and Finance Committee.
Yingfeng Zhang joined Shanda Interactive Entertainment in 2001 and is currently a vice president of Shanda Interactive. Zhang was the head of the legal and IP department of Shanda Interactive and in charge of screening, negotiations and licensing of online games, including Mir II.
