OTTAWA (dpa-AFX) - The Canadian dollar strengthened against the other major currencies in the Asian session on Friday.
The Canadian dollar rose to a 9-day high of 1.4216 against the euro and a 4-day high of 102.81 against the yen, from yesterday's closing quotes of 1.4222 and 102.62, respectively.
Against the greenback, the loonie edged up to 1.1574 from an early low of 1.1588.
If the loonie extends its uptrend, it is likely to find resistance around 1.41 against the euro, 104.67 against the yen and 1.14 against the greenback.
