WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein's right-hand Izzat Ibrahim al Douri was reported killed in a fighting in North Baghdad. He is believed to be behind the recent insurgency in the State, with the backing of ISIS.
Douri was one among the most wanted Saddam-era leaders and he has been evading since the ouster of Saddam in 2003. U.S. Forces has offered a large bounty for his head. When the U.S. issued a pack of cards with the pictures of elusive leaders, Douri was the 'King of Clubs.'
Earlier, there were reports of Douri's death, but were confirmed. He has been issuing video messages now and then.
