WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - The Western Union Company (WU) Friday held its Annual Meeting and has reiterated its strategy while emphasizing its vision to be a global leader in cross-border, cross-currency money transfers for consumers and businesses.
The company said its stockholders voted to elect Hikmet Ersek, Richard Goodman, Jack Greenberg, Betsy Holden, Linda Fayne Levinson, Roberto Mendoza, Michael Miles, Jr., Robert Selander, Frances Fragos Townsend and Solomon Trujillo to serve as members of the board of directors until the company's 2016 Annual Meeting of Stockholders.
In addition, stockholders also voted to elect Jeffrey Joerres, who has been executive chairman of Manpower Group since May 2014, as a new member of the board of directors.
