ECHING (dpa-AFX) - Kontron AG (KOTRF.PK, KOTFY.PK), a provider of Embedded Computer Technology or ECT, has said that its 'New Kontron' program is on its final lap and approaching the finish line.
At its Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, CEO Rolf Schwirz laid out the company's new corporate strategy and objectives.
Schwirz said, '...our next race has already begun: it will be all about platform solutions which offer the hardware we already provide to our customers today, but includes in addition integrated system software, so-called middleware.'
The market for this combined product offering is growing three times faster than the traditional ECT market and is expected to be at least twice as big soon.
At Kontron's AGM, the Supervisory Board and the Executive Board were discharged by a large majority of the shareholders. The meeting also approved the creation of a new authorized capital.
Further, the AGM elected Harald Joachim Joos as new member of the Supervisory Board. About 55 percent of the voting capital was represented at the AGM.
