LONDON (dpa-AFX) - International Consolidated Airlines Group S.A. (ICAGY.PK, IAG.L), formed by the merger of British Airways plc. and Spanish flag carrier Iberia Lineas Aereas de Espana S.A., said that its traffic in June 2015 increased 6.7% from last year, on a capacity increase of 5.4%.
Group traffic measured in Revenue Passenger Kilometres or RPK for the latest-month was 19.39 billion, up from 18.18 billion RPK in the same month last year.
Group capacity measured in Available Seat Kilometres rose to 23.15 billion from 21.97 billion in the previous year month.
Passenger load factor for the month improved 1.0 percentage points to 83.7 percent from 82.7 percent in the prior year.
The airline carried a total of 7.79 million passengers in the recent month, up 9.1 percent from last year's 7.14 million passengers.
The Group performance comprised British Airways, Iberia (including Iberia Express) and Vueling.
