(PKI), a global leader focused on improving the health and safety of people and the environment, reported second quarter income from continuing operations of $49.0 million compared to $52.0 million, a year ago. GAAP earnings per share from continuing operations was $0.43, compared to $0.46. Adjusted earnings per share was $0.60, for the quarter.
On average, 17 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit per share of $0.59 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Revenue was $563.9 million, compared to $556.2 million in the second quarter of 2014. Adjusted revenue was $564.1 million, compared to $556.6 million. Analysts expected revenue of $555.66 million for the quarter.
For the full year 2015, the company now forecasts GAAP earnings per share from continuing operations in the range of $2.00 to $2.05 and on a non-GAAP basis, adjusted earnings per share in the range of $2.55 to $2.60. Analysts expect the company to report earnings per share of $2.59.
