BRUSSELS (dpa-AFX) - Swiss investor confidence declined notably in November, survey data from the Centre for European Economic Research/ZEW showed Wednesday.
The ZEW-Credit Suisse indicator for Switzerland fell to zero in November from 18.3 points in October. The reading seen in October was the highest since March 2014.
The latest score signaled that the financial analysts surveyed expect to see neither an improvement nor a deterioration in Swiss economic activity over the next six months.
The monthly ZEW-CS Indicator mirrors the expectations of the surveyed financial market experts regarding the economic development in Switzerland on a six-month time horizon.
The assessment of current situation of Swiss economy also weakened in November, by 6.9 points to -12.2. About 80 percent assess the economic situation to be normal.
Close to 60 percent of analysts forecast a stable economic activity for the coming six months. Meanwhile, the remaining opinions are split equally between optimists and pessimists who constitute about 20 percent of respondents respectively.
