NEW DELHI (dpa-AFX) - Strong earthquake of 7.2 magnitude jolted Tajikistan on Monday and tremors were felt around 1200 kilometers in New Delhi in India and Peshawar and Islamabad in Pakistan. There are no reports of casualties or damages.
U.S. Geological Survey said the epicentre is around 109 kilometers west of Murghob and at a depth of 25 kilometers. According to reports two tremors were felt in Tajikistan capital Bishkek at morning hours in local time.
People ran out of tall buildings in Indian capital and Jammu & Kashmir as aftershocks were felt.
