WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Pitney-Bowes (PBI) announced earnings for fourth quarter that dropped compared to the same period last year.
The company said its earnings declined to $94.10 million, or $0.48 per share. This was lower than $103.14 million, or $0.51 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.
Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.54 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
The company said revenue for the quarter fell 4.8% to $936.95 million. This was down from $983.91 million last year.
