CAMDEN (dpa-AFX) - Campbell Soup Co. (CPB) revealed a profit for its second quarter that climbed from last year.
The company said its bottom line climbed to $423 million, or $0.87 per share. This was higher than $337 million, or $0.71 per share, in last year's second quarter.
The company said revenue for the quarter fell 1.3% to $2.20 billion. This was down from $2.23 billion last year.
