MELVILLE (dpa-AFX) - Henry Schein, Inc. (HSIC) Wednesday announced the promotion of Dave McKinley to the newly created position of chief commercial officer, and appointment of Karen Prange as executive vice president and chief executive officer, Global Animal Health & Medical Group. McKinley has been serving as president of the Henry Schein Medical Group, while, Prange was the senior vice president at Boston Scientific Corporation.
Stanley Bergman, chairman and CEO said, 'We have created these new positions at a time when market, technological and demographic forces are converging to create unique business opportunities for Henry Schein.'
McKinley and Prange will report to Bergman. The company said, McKinley is a member of its executive management committee and Prange will join.
McKinley will be responsible for global corporate marketing, working across the business to leverage Henry Schein's brand. In her new position, Prange will be responsible for Henry Schein's global animal health and medical groups, as well as the Global Dental Surgical Group. Prior to joining Boston Scientific, she has served Johnson & Johnson.
The company said Prange will relocate from Boston and work out of Henry Schein's headquarters in Melville, New York.
