LONDON (dpa-AFX) - HomeServe plc (HSV.L) reported statutory profit before tax of 82.6 million pounds for the year ended 31 March 2016 compared to 76.7 million pounds, previous year. Profit for the year, being attributable to equity holders of the parent, increased to 61.6 million pounds from 56.1 million pounds. Earnings per share was 19.3 pence compared to 16.8 pence.
Adjusted profit before tax increased year-over-year to 93.0 million pounds from 85.4 million pounds. Adjusted earnings per share was 21.4 pence compared to 18.6 pence.
Total revenue from continuing operations was 633.2 million pounds compared to 584.2 million pounds, a year ago. Customer numbers increased 11% to 7.0 million, with good growth across all the businesses.
The Board of HomeServe plc proposed to increase the final dividend to 8.9 pence per share to be paid on 1 August 2016 to shareholders on the register on 8 July 2016. Together with the interim dividend declared, this represents a 10% increase in the dividend payment of 12.7 pence.
