WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - The Donald Trump Campaign came heavily on Senator Elizabeth Warren's speech at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia endorsing Hillary Clinton.
The Massachusetts senator was repeatedly heckled Monday night by apparent supporters of Bernie Sanders who looked upset with Warren's endorsement of Clinton.
'Warren complains about Wall Street influence while endorsing the candidate who is bought-and-paid for by Wall Street. Bill and Hillary use Wall Street like a personal ATM, giving speeches and doing favors for cash,' said a statement issued by Stephen Miller, Senior Policy Advisor for Trump.
The income inequality in America today is the product of the Hillary Clinton corporate agenda on trade and immigration, according to him. He termed Clinton as a radical corporatist, and Donald Trump as the one and only candidate taking on the special interests in government.
Warren had criticized Trump's call to build a wall along Mexican borders as 'stupid.'
But in the Trump Campaign's opinion, if that wall was built years ago, 'Wonderful Americans like Jamiel Shaw, Police Sgt. Brandon Mendoza, Dominic Durden, Josh Wilkerson, Sara Root, and so many others would be alive today. Thousands would never have been victimized by cartels, traffickers and smugglers. Millions of young minority workers would have jobs'. Why aren't these voiceless victims worthy of Warren's concern?, the Trump team asked.
Trump reacted to Warren's comments by saying on Twitter 'Elizabeth Warren, often referred to as Pocahontas, just misrepresented me and spoke glowingly about Crooked Hillary, who she always hated!'
